  1. Pale Ravine is an entirely successful electronic/neoclassical album which delivers an almost hypnotic array of tracks that serve as a wholly effective piece of music, but one which really needs to be played when you are in the correct state of mind. Not perfect at all, but at times it almost seems like that is what Deaf Center was aiming for /5.

  3. Scandinavian isolationists Deaf Center draw a beautiful pall over this decade with ‘Low Distance’, their first album since ’s ‘Owl Splinter’, arriving nearly 15 years since their debut couplet of modern classical/ambient masterpieces; the ‘Neon City EP’ and ‘Pale Ravine’.
  4. Deaf Center Pale Ravine. Genre: MODERN CLASSICAL / AMBIENT. MP3 FLAC WAV Boomkat Product Review: An absolute classic of the genre, this debut album from the Norwegian duo of Erik Skodvin and Otto Totland is a miraculous, hugely evocative blend and smoke-filled ambience and modern classical inversions that has more or less defined its own.
  5. () Deaf Center’s Neon City EP was unquestionably one the finest electronic releases of and remains, despite some pretty fierce competition, one of the finest entries in the Type label’s catalogue. Topping this release was always going to be a challenge, yet Deaf Center’s Erik Skodvin and Otto Totland seem to have managed it [ ]Author: James Knapman.
  6. Nov 13,  · The only downside is the fact that the Deaf Center duo nolonger make music together. They have seperate projects now, one being Svarte Greiner and the other being Nest. I recommend the latter far much more if you're looking for similar music to Pale Ravine/5().
